Our History

Ginter Hall has been providing excellence in Assisted Living and Senior Living care since 1970. We are locally owned and operated. As one of Richmond, Virginia’s premier Assisted Living and Memory Care communities, Ginter Hall is committed to enriching the lives of seniors through quality care. We provide a wide variety of services, offered in a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Our community serves residents who are unable to assume full responsibility for their own care while living independently; they may require supervision and/or assistance with their daily care or they may need activities that promote social interaction.

The history of Ginter Hall is one built with pride and commitment to Senior Living and caring for seniors of all ages. The first community was built in 1970 in the Ginter Park Area, fondly remembered as Ginter Hall North. It was the first home in Richmond, Virginia area to offer Senior Living and Residential Assistance for the senior population. As families and seniors throughout the area learned of the various programs Ginter Hall offered, the company’s success encouraged expansion that resulted in the building of Ginter Hall South in 1977.

Today, Ginter Hall continues to provide a secure environment, specifically designed to accommodate seniors’ changing needs. We are conveniently situated in one of Richmond’s most popular suburban neighborhoods, providing residential assistance to seniors and their families. Ginter Hall’s philosophy today, as in the beginning, is to promote individual choice and family involvement, and to foster independence appropriate to the needs of the individual, while maintaining dignity and respect for each person.
