Tau2022 Global Conference
About the Conference:
Leading tau experts will convene for the Tau2022 Global Conference to collaborate and discuss key issues impacting the tau research community. This hybrid conference, held in Washington, D.C., and online, provides a forum for members of academia, industry, philanthropy and government to:
- Discuss tau-based biology, biomarkers, therapeutics and phenotypes.
- Attract talent and funding to the study of tauopathies, particularly among early career researchers.
- Increase interdisciplinary alignment and collaboration around challenges in tau research.

The Mission of the Tau Consortium is to accelerate the development of new treatments for tauopathies, such as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Frontotemporal Dementias, Alzheimer’s Disease, and other neurodegenerative diseases associated with neuropathological dysfunction of the tau protein.

Created in 2017, the Virginia Commonwealth University Health Orchestra is one of the few, academic medical symphony orchestras in the country and consists of health system team members. The orchestra aims to promote wellness; enhance relationships among team members, patients, families, visitors and the community; and to support fundraising for local health related charities.
